The coastline along West Shore is quite a sun trap on sunny days. With plenty of open beach especially at low tide and acres of sandy walks surrounding the coastline there is plenty of space to explore and ample parking too.

There is more than enough parking at West Shore to deal with visitor numbers.

There is marked tarmac parking right next to the beach and the Cumbria trail starting point. There is also parking right along the coastline to along for more privacy just to enjoy the view and have your picnic.

If that wasn't enough parking for you there is also a large 50-100 capacity carpark set back from the beach with toilet facilites.

All parking is free and you are not battling with other motorists for space.

Local shop is well situated near the beach and parking areas which sells all the basics including cold drinks, snacks and ice-lollies to cool you down after a good walk along the coast.
