A quaint village with a tucked away beach with views right across to Heysham and Morecambe
Carpark for visitors to the beach and to the local church
Most of the time there is enough parking for visitors to the beach except on Sunday church service when you may need to park on the road.
Other than that this is a quiet spot.
Public toilets currently run by volunteers to a high standard.
Located next to the carpark are public toilets. Those who are unable to get onto the beach can use the seating area behind the toilets to enjoy the view out to sea in a flat sheltered area.
Bus route on the A5087 which goes to Barrow and Ulverston
Those wishing to visit Aldingham from the local area can use the bus route that travels along the A5087. The nearest bus top is on the edge of Aldingham and is just a five minute walk from the beach.
Nursing and Residential Care Home
A striking building set back on generous grounds
This large and dominating building is currently a Residential home. Set within large grounds it is surrounded by high hedges and lush trees.
Quant church set on the coast with panoramic views out to sea
As you park up at the small carpark you are greeted by the Aldingham Church.
View across the beach sheltered by lush trees to the back
From the carpark you drop down to the beach via a narrow path with heavily grown shrubs and trees. Once through the opening you are greeted with an expanse of of open beach with views as far as heysham power station as well as hills across the water.
Whether you decide to walk left or right, you get a good length to travel on shingle and sand. It is also a good place to take your dog(s) as it is well shelted from the carpark and has nice open stretched to run.
Covered Seating Area
Covered seating area which is ideal for enjoying the view not far from the carpark
Behind the toilets next to the carpark is a covered seating area.
Ideal if you do not wish to walk onto the beach but still would like to enjoy the view. There is also a second path down to the beach which is less steep to walk down.
